Everyone has their own sun —
someone who makes you want to wake up in the morning,
even after a night full of tears.
I once had a sun like that.
He came into my life
like the first ray of light after a long winter,
so warm that I forgot
how cold I used to be.
He always smiled,
a smile bright enough to light up my whole day.
He told me:
“You deserve the most beautiful sunrise.”
I believed my sun
would never set.
But nothing lasts forever, does it?
One day, he left,
taking all the dazzling mornings with him.
The world fell back into shadow.
I lost my direction,
like the moon without a glow to borrow.
But then…
time taught me this:
The sun doesn’t live only
in one person
or in a love that has ended.
There are sunrises
that rise from within your own heart.
When I learned to love life again,
when I wiped my tears and stood up,
the light found its way back to me.
Now, I no longer wait
for someone to brighten my world.
Because I finally understand:
I am my own sun. 🌞
